AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE ERECTION OF ANY STRUCTURE ON
THE BEACH FRONT IN THE CITY OF BAY ST. LOUIS, MISSISSIPPI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAY ST.
LOUIS, MISSISSIPPI:
Section 1:	The	erection of any structure on the beach front
in the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, from the south line of Water Lot 175, Second Ward, south to the corporate limits and north from the north line of Water Lot 437, First Ward, north to the corporate limits, is hereby declared to be unlawful; excepting therefrom the following:
A.	Lots 199, 200, 207, 208, 210, and part of 192, Second Ward, City of Bay St. Louis, which are presently zoned commercial and shall
____	be designated as C-4, and may contain tennis
courts, swimming pools, cabannas, restrooms, dressing rooms, and other supporting structures, not to exceed one story and a half in height; ten feet maximum ceiling height. Any structure or facilities shall be subject to the approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission and thus, the City Council of the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
B.	Lots 151, 157, 157^, and 158, First Ward,
City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
C.	Lots 249, 335, 336, Third Ward, City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
The areas designated as "B" and "C" shall be allowed to exist under the "Grandfather Clausd" as non-conforming structures and uses; however, any construction or further development on same shall be subject to pri-or approval of the Bay St. Louis Planning and Zoning Commission, the Board of Adjustment and the City Council before construction of any structures.
The Central Business District, designated C-l, which extends from the north line of Lot 437. First

Ward, to the south line of Lot 175, Second Ward, is presently zoned commercial; may have structures and additions, and other improvements covered under existing zoning regulations.
All other beach front properties not specifically * designated shall be classified as R-5, and may contain a gazebo, not to exceed fourteen feet by fourteen feet (14' X 14'), floor area; one story high and walled in no higher than thirty-six (36) inches above floor level; to have opened or screened walls. Plans and specifications for said gazebo shall be submitted to the City Building Inspector and the Planning and Zoning Commission for approval before construction is begun to assure that the gazebo is structurally sound and keeping with the architecture of that neighborhood.
Posts, not to exceed thirty (30) inches in height or five (5) inches in diameter may be located near the outermost edge of Beach Boulevard. Side line markers on twenty (20) foot centers, no closer than thirty (30) feet from the mean high tide, shall be allowed in this area. Said markers shall be no more than 3" In diameter nor 30" in height. All structures in the above stated areas must obtain approval of the Bay St. Louis Planning and Zoning Commission prior to erection.
