Andre / Andrew was also referred to as "Lolo" on at least one record. Also note that "Felicitas Ancette" LaLancette) and "Bautista Fabre" (Favre) had a grandson "Luis Fabre" born on December 15,1816, (SLC Bapt. Bk. 31, p. 14). The child's parents were "Andres Fabre and Susan Harco" (Carco). The maternal grandparents were "Nicolas Harco (Carco) and Catharina Ladner." See pgs. 84 - 87 of our Favre Family History. 2. "Carlos Josef Fabre" born January 1, 1793. All of his baptism information is the same as his brother, Andre. 3. Jean Baptiste Favre is a strong probable third child of this couple as described on pages 87 and 90 - 96 of our Favre Family History published in 1989. We have estimated, he was born about 1785, based on him listed in the 1820 census of Hancock County, MS, as born between 1775 and 1794. Baptiste Favre (born about 1762) and Susanne Fayard dit LaLancette were having a relationship, and had children, before and during his relationship with Felicite Fayard dit LaLancette. So who was this Susanne who used the last names of Fayard or LaLancette on her records? Susanne would have been born about 1762, the approximate age of her common-law husband, Baptiste Favre, as discussed earlier. The most likely candidate, thru the process of elimination, to be her father, was Jean Pierre dit LaLancette who was the only known Fayard dit LaLancette in this area at that time. Jean Pierre was born about 1724, died after 1762, and was married to Francoise Fisseau dit DeLorme, and they were having children between about 1744 and 1762. Their male children included: Pierre, born about 1749; Jean Baptiste, born about 1751; Francois, born 1753; Andre, born 1755; Louis, born 1758; and Pierre, born 1760. We know Jean Pierre and Francoise were both white based on various church records. The oldest child, Pierre Fayard dit LaLancette, was born about 1749, would have been age 13 when Susanne was born in about 1762. The next child in this family was Jean Baptiste Fayard dit LaLancette, born about 1751. We know this Jean Baptiste Fayard was married to Angelique Ladner dit Christian and had a large family. With only approximately 11 years difference in their births, it is unlikely this Jean Baptiste Fayard could be Susanne's father. To confuse things even more, we know this Susanne Fayard dit LaLancette and Jean Baptiste Fayard dit LaLancette (half siblings) had a child together, called Louisa Mimi / Fayard / LaLancette born about 1782, who married Charles "Chariot" Favre, Jr. This is confirmed in the 1802 baptism record of their (Jean B. Fayard and Susanne Fayard's) granddaughter, Angelica, and information provided above. Note that Susanne and Jean Baptiste were 1/2 siblings - same father, but different mothers! How about a little incest going on! We believe Jean Pierre Fayard dit LaLancette (born about 1724) had an illegitimate child around 1762 by an unnamed Choctaw Indian which was common in those days. She could have been an employee, a neighbor, a lover, or possibly an Indian slave. This child would be Susanne Fayard, born about 1762, making her a 1/2 Indian. We have come to this conclusion because we know her daughter, Louisa Mimi / Fayard / LaLancette and Charles "Chariot" Favre, Jr. had a child baptized in Mobile, AL, in 1805 called "Eufrosina" as covered above. The priest labeled her parents as "Mestizos," which means American Indian and European blood mixture as discussed earlier. Based on our research, Charles "Chariot" Favre, Jr., was 1/4 Indian, with his father, Charles, Sr., 1/2 Indian, and his grandmother, a full unnamed Choctaw Indian, who was the mistress of Jean Claude Favre.
