Albert Yenni was seriously cut over his right eye during the week by a foot adz, which was lying upon the ground with its sharp part turned upwards. Mr. Yenni, it appears was on a scaffold of the new Heitzmann building and falling was violently precipitated to the ground, with the above results.
Albert Heitzmann’s new bakery and residence, at the corner of Hancock and Goodchildren streets, has been completed and Mr. Heitzmann took possession of his new property on Thursday, turning out his first batch of bread therefrom on yesterday.
He has the best wishes of his friends for unlimited success.
(NOTE: a foot adz is similar to an ax to smooth rough handworked wood, the blade is perpendicular to the handle.)

A jolly crowd of local Nimrods went up Jordan River during the week on board the commodious yacht “Mizpah” and enjoyed a day of real sport, bringing back a goodly trophy of game as an evidence of their success. Following were some of those participating:
Messrs. Chas. J. Schill, Claud Monti, D.J. Glover, Alcide Moran, Albert Heitzmann, Claiborne Netto, John Dilliard, Ed. Murray, Ildebrande Briganti. They expect to repeat the trip in the near future.

Mr. Albert Heitzmann, proprietor of the new bakery, corner Hancock and Goodchildren streets, announces the opening of a grocery store in connection with his present business and at the same stand. He intends to carry a fresh and complete stock and will cater to small and large trade alike.

... Mrs. Mamie Heitzmann, wife of Albert Heitzmann, was tried in Justice Breath’s court last Monday on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Her attorney Hon. E. J. Gex, asked for a jury and she was promptly acquitted. County Attorney Carl Marshall prosecuted the case.
(Note: she is 22 yrs old).
