The •weather for the last few days has been very variable. Yesterday was excessively warm, while today a winter coat is not uncomfortable. The air early this morning was unusually chilly.
It is in just such weather as this that persons should carefully avoid exposure to the sun, and shun a draught as they would a venomous reptile. There are few things so apt to produce unpleasant and even fatal consequences as suddenly checking perspiration.
That the Yellow Fever is increasing it is useless to deny, as reference to the daily mortuary reports will satisfy the most skeptical on that point. Such being the fact, it behooves everyone to be careful.
Cleanliness being very necessary to healthfulness, we hope the Street Commissioner will see to it that no deleterious matter be left lying in the back alleys and obscure streets.
