of the year.	Its major project was collecting
clothes for the Palmer Home (a Presbyterian orphanage) and repairing them.
A very successful Vacation Bible School was conducted during the summer, under the tutelage of Mrs. Kenneth Teague and Mrs.	Mac	Canaga.	The
Sunday school continued to grow, as	well.	At	the
end of the year, enrollment	stood at	98,	an
increase of 29.	Youth Fellowship was also
initiated this year with the first meeting on December 6th, Prior to this, the young people of the church took part in the Protestant Youth League. Now, they could be an integral part of that group, yet carry on their own programs, too.
The year 1965 showed a small gain in members, Including the inactive, but, after transferring these from the membership	roll,	the	church
experienced a decrease in active, supporting ?embers. The Session determined that, after corrections, it had only 124 members at the end of 1964, there being 12 additions, for a total of 136, ?inus four deaths, 23 moved to the inactive roll and dismissed, plus one other dismissal, for a total (at the end of the year) of 108.
The Sunday school enrollment was in a decline, too, with an average attendance of 60. Mr. and Mrs. John R. McPhail were the directors during the year of the Youth Fellowship, and Mrs. McPhail
?	Iso was elected President of the Women of the Church. (Mr. McPhail, it is to be noted, worked at the NASA facility in Hancock County. ) It was further noted that, for the fourth year in a row, there was no longer any organization known as the Men of the Church.
On December 26th, Dr. Lindsey announced to the congregation that he intended to retire on December 31,	1965, although he would stay on until the
church had a new minister. In addition, it was announced that a congregational meeting was being called for January 16,	1966 for the purpose of
electing a pastor nominating committee to look for and recommend a favorable prospect. At this time, the Session consisted of Dr. Lindsey, Moderator, T.T. Reboul, Clerk, and Messrs.
