The trip to Carrollton is deservedly one of the most popular excursions in the neighborhood of our city. The green cars from the corner of Canal aud Baronne streets, only a short distance from the principal hotels and boarding houses, take Carrollton Hotel. passengers through one of the pleasantest avenues, lined by palatial residences and smiling gardens to that suburban district of New Orleans. Here are situated the Carrollton Gardens, which for many years have been a favorite resort with our people, and a place much admired by strangers.
