Jane Talley, a colored voman of some cultivation, who is here endeavoring to raise fund'; for the building of an Ornhnn Asylum for freedmen's children in Beaufort, S. C. Imrcdiately after the var, a number of colored persons, from all parts of the South, located themselves there and in the vicinity. A great ranv o^ these have since died, leavinp their children in a destitute condition. Seeing the deplorable and helpless condition of these orphans, Mrs. Talley has left her home to seek aid for them, and for this purpose an instrumental and vocal concert vill be given at the National Hall on the evening cf August 20, 1869. To the literal public of this city, whose generous charity is never vithheld from th needy, more especially from the little orphans, an invitation to attend ?ri’ay evening is extended. e
