LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
In the name of God Amen
I John B. Toulme being advanoed in years of a feeble health but of a sound disposing mind and memory; being desirous to settle my worldly affairs whilst I have time, strenght and capacity: and make between my ohildren such division of my property as I deem the most just and equitable and the better calculated to avoid any contestation, or difficulties, between them after my demise. I do make and publish the following, as my last will and testament.
1.	I commit my soul unto the hands of my creator, who gave it and my body to the earth, to be interred as may be directed by my beloved wife hereinafter named, if she be living, or by my executors hereinafter to be appointed if she be dead. Only requesting that my funerals be simple and unostentatious.
2.	I declare that I was lawfully rrarried on the goth of December A?D? 1880. to Victoire Saucier, my present and only wife from which intermarriage were born unto me seven ohildren, all of whbm are now living.
1st. Mary Adele Toulme	who was intermarried with Francis G.
Casanova. 2nd. Mary Louise Azalia Toulme who was intermarried with Dudley R. Walker. 3rd. VictoirS Toulme who was intermarried with Henry Sau-ciBr. 4th John Victor Toulme, my only son. 5th Mary Virginia Toulme who was intermarried with Augusta Girard. 6th Madeline S Toulme who was intermarried with Evariste V. Saucier. 7th Delphine Toulme who was intermarried with Eugene Garandy. All of whom are my heirs at law, between whom it is my will that such worldly goods as it has pleased God to entrust me with and which I may be possessed of at the time of my death, be divided as hereinafter provided and specified.
3.	My estate consists of lands, negroes choses in action money and other personal property within the state of Mississippi wherein I reside, of real estate in the city of Mobile, Alabama, and in the city of New Orleans, Louisiana which it is my will be divided and disposed of as hereinafter provided and specified.
First I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife and faithful companion through life "Victoire Toulme" for her to possess and enjoy during her natural life, thd lot of land in the City of Shieldsborough (Miss) on which stands my dwelling house together with the appurtenances privileges and hereditaments,- thereunto in any wise appertaining. All the house hold furniture, kitchen furniture, carriages carts mules & horses on or about the premises occupied by me as my residence. Also the following, Slaves to wit: Thenegro'man Sylvester and Auguste; and the negro women Angele, Harriet, Merante. and her children (with the exception of Gertrude). Also all the nett cattle by me bought out of the Estate of Jesse Cowand deceased, together with all the cows known as "The plain, or yard cows." And I hereby apply to her maintainace during her natural life, all the rents and profits
