One pyramidal object at Claiborne (Fig. 6dd) is sandy and fired black. It has a rectangular base from which four triangular faces rise to a thin and narrow ridge. The base is 2.8 by 3.7 cm and the height is

There are 21 objects from Claiborne that have a barrel or ovoid shape, with flat or mildly convex ends. Five are plain and solid, all sandy. One sandy object of similar shape has shallow pits in the ends, another has three incisions encircling the midportion of the barrel and a third has three longitudinal grooves. A similar object of clay shows longitudinal scoring and a final solid clay barrel-shaped object has rough longitudinal tool scoring. Eleven barrel-shaped objects are perforated; four of them are of clay and 7 are sandy. One of these is plain, one is transversely grooved, four of clay are deeply grooved longitudinally, three have three spiraled finger grooves and two have shallow longitudinal fluting.
Miscellaneous Untyped OjJ^ects At Claiborne site 52 sandy objects of uncertain shape or badly worn show scoring that indicates their use as whetstones. Three objects not previously recorded and untyped show basketry or mat impressions.
30 untyped objects have perforations. 1185 objects are broken or worn to the extent that they could not be classified. This gives a total of 1270 untyped objects from the site.
