we again hosted the Fall District Meeting, this time at the First Baptist Church. We published a cookbook . We have joined with th Historical Society in registering large live oaks and won an award for this project. For a few years we placed Garden of the Month signs. Our regular meetings have included speakers, workshops, Christmas luncheons and May luncheons as well as trips to Longvue in New Orleans , the Pascagoula River, several gardens in the area, and the Crosby Arboretum We participate in area anti litter programs. We sponsor a Smokey Bear poster contest or children. We continue to be represented at district. state, ad regional meetings and flower shows. Several members are Master Gardeners and one is a Flower Show judge and is on the state board, She is also a Landscape Consultant and a Gardening Study Consultant.
This summer, we will be planning our 75th celebration and are looking forward to the next 75 years.
