The Sash & Blind Factory of Rosell & Co. is second to none in the .outh, while several Lumber Yards of which "^lder & Bradford" is the most important one, furnish Lumber for Buildings. Building of Scooners (sic) and small si7e Vessels is a rising Industry. The "Bank of Biloxi" and "People? Eank" are two institutions vhich have gained quite a reputation for the able management of their financial affairs. Biloxi has an extensive Street Railray System, Waterworks, Steam laundry, an excellent Fire Department, and Telephone accommoda t ions. "Dukate's Opera House" is a first-class Theatre in every respect and in regard to architectural beauty and modern improvements one of the finest in the country. It is due to the efforts of the Kings Daughters that Biloxi now enjoys the privilege of a Public Library which contains a choice collection of Works of Science and Fiction. Churches are numerous and 5 Schools for white children have been donated to the City, one by Hon. H. Howard one by Messrs. H. T. and C. Howard two by yr. L. Lopez and one by Vr. V/. K. Dukate. Tvo Newspapers, the "Biloxi Daily Herald" and the "Biloxi Review" publish in their well edited Columns the News of the day. Several Hotels and a large number of private Boarding Houses afford accormodat<ons to the traveling public and it is contemplated to erect a nev one-half Killion Dollar Hotel, for vhich most beautiful plsns have b^en mace by that talented Southern Architect, ]'r. Theo. Brune, vho also planned Dukate's Opera House. >
