Johann Wilhelm Dietz, father of Johann Peter Dietz, was born in 1670 to David Dietz in Vielbach, Germany. He married Anna Maria Sturm there on August 28, 1689 and died there on November 23, 1724. He and Anna Maria had at least four children.
Anna Maria Sturm, wife of Johann Wilhelm Dietz, was born around 1670 probably at Vielbach, Germany to Andres Sturm. She probably died there.
David Dietz was the father of Johann Wilhelm Dietz. He was born in Vielbach around 1630 and died there on September 15, 1693.
Andres Sturm, father of Anna Maria Sturm, was born and died in Germany.
The Dietz information presented above is through the research of several people including Mr. Harold H. Miller and the web site, bernehistory.org. While we have no intent on publishing this paper, we have intentionally been somewhat negligent in citing precise sources. Mr. Miller's paper "The Dietz Family of Berne and Schoharie: the First Generation, August 2001," was the source for much of this Dietz information and in his paper he gives proper credit to those who helped him reach his various conclusions. His paper contains much more information on this family if needed.

Felix Weidmann was the father of Jacob Weidman (Sr.) and husband of Anna Surber. Felix Weidmann was born on April 2, 1676 at Steinmaur, Zurich Canton, Switzerland. He was the son of Balthasar Weidmann and Elisabetha Baumgartner. Felix married Anna Surber on January 8, 1704, and he had at least ten children by her. He died on January 3, 1723 at Mulflen, Bachs, Zurich Canton, Switzerland.
Anna Surber, wife of Felix Weidmann, was baptized on April 4, 1680 at Schleinikon, Zurich Canton, Switzerland, daughter of Jagli Surber and Klianna Meier.
Balthasar Weidmann was the father of Felix Weidmann and husband of Elisabetha Baumgartner. Balthasar Weidmann, was born on March 25, 1632 at Mulflen, Steinmaur, Zurich Canton, Switzerland to Michael Weidmann and Eva Meyer. Balthasar Weidmann first married Elisabeth Baumgartner around 1659 and had at least six children. He married second to Verena Volkart on December 10, 1683 and third to Verena Huser on November 23, 1686. Balthasar died on August 29, 1690 in Steinmaur. No known children were born to the second or third wives.
