Corps of Engineers, land acquisition agency for NASA, has concluded the first transaction involving land within the buffer zone of th« Mississippi Test Facility. The agreeing parties were Dr. and Mrs. Elvie Dakes Roberson, who reside on Highway 43 about eight miles south of here. DESCRIBED TRACT The government paid the Rober. sons $20,000 for two pieces of land, one of 3.90 acres within the actual test site, and the other of 21.90 acres lying in the buffer zone. The Robersons were paid $19,500 for t:;e house and improvement* and the 21.90 acres in the buffer zone and $500 for the 3.90 acre* in the test site. Tiie former can be occupied until Dec. 31, 1963, while the latter must be relinquished on July 31, 1962. This occupancy can be revoked and terminated on 30 da/ notice.
