The Coast Beacon - established in 1880(according to Along-the Gulf), and 1881, according to the Parnell McKays — who in 1929 Merged their paper called the Pass Christian Tarpon with the Coast Beacon and named the paper the Tarpon-Beacon. The Tarpon Beacon plans to celebrate its one hundredth anniversary-on Paril 15 of this year. On it's sixtieth year celebration President of the United States, Roosevelt sent a message of congratulations.
