B. Felix Cameron - bom in 1842 according to the 1860 Marion County census and living with his parents in 1850 and 1860. Bryant does not remember this person at all, and no one else we spoke to remembers him. C. Thomas Cameron - bom in 1844 according to the 1860 census of Marion County where he is living with his parents. Bryant Cameron told us that he married Nerve Woodward. D. Mary Jane Cameron - bom in 1845 and married Jeff Jones according to our source, Bryant Cameron. He said she is buried in Midway cemetery in Lamar County with dates 1845 - 1942. Buried near Mary Jane are 3 possible children: H. T. Jones, bom 1874; Malissia Jones, bom 1876; and Minnie B. Jones, bom 1888. E. Elizabeth “Frye” Cameron - bom in 1852 according to the 1860 Marion County census. Her son, John “Bryant” Cameron (bom in 1885), told us his mother died in 1918 and is buried in Midway cemetery in Lamar County with a headstone that reads “1853 - 1918.” She first married William H. Frye and had: Drusilla “Jane” and Mayson A. Frye. Later she married her first cousin, Henry Alexander “Alex” Cameron, son of William J. Cameron. By this marriage she had: 1. Melissa Cameron - bom in 1876 according to the 1880 census of Marion County. Bryant told us she married John “Thomas” Jones and had no children. 2. Sarah Ann Cameron - bom in 1878 according to the same census. Bryant said he had one sister that died young - this is probably her. 3. Elizabeth “Eliza” Cameron - (1881 - 1939) married James A. Gibson. 4. William Russell “Russ” Cameron - (1884 -1944) married Luana Barrett and had no children. 5. John “Bryant” Cameron - bom October 15, 1885, and died 1982. He married Martha “Lou” Nobles, and we got much of our information from him on this family in 1971 at his home in the Oak Grove Community near Hattiesburg. 6. Henrietta “Etta” Cameron - bom 1891, and married Robert H. Nobles. 7. Merilla M. Cameron - (1893 - 1965) married George W. Nobles. 8. Julia Alberta “Birdy” Cameron - (1894 - 1918) married William B. Speights. F. Laura S. Cameron - bom in 1858 according to the 1860 census. Bryant told us she married William “Wheat” Jones. Marion County Court House has Laura Sophronia Cameron marrying William Jones on January 21, 1880. Her headstone in McComb, Mississippi says she died on March 28,1937. 6
