Johann Jacob "Hans" Weidmann was born on October 8, 1702 at Steinmaur, Zurich Canton, Switzerland to Hans Weidmann and Elisabeth Baumgartner. He married Anna Surber von Dachberg on July 13, 1725 at Bachs, Zurich Canton, Switzerland. He immigrated to New York around 1739 and died in Schoharie Co., NY. He had at least eight children. Anna Surber von Dachberg, wife of Johann Jacob "Hans" Weidmann, was born on December 15, 1700 in Switzerland and probably died in Schoharie Co., NY. Hans Weidmann (Jr.) was born in 1650 and baptized on March 31, 1650 at Steinmaur, Switzerland to Hans Weidmann and Margareth Sigg. He married Anna Meyer on November 6, 1677 and second to Elisabeth Baumgartner on November 12, 1695 at Steinmaur. Elisabeth Baumgartner, wife of Hans Weidmann (Jr.), was baptized on February 9, 1662 at Weiach, Zurich Canton, Switzerland. She died January 20, 1714 in Steinnaur at age 51. She was the daughter of Jakob Baumgartner and Anna Meirhofer. Jakob Baumgartner, father of Elisabeth Baumgartner, was born on November 25, 1627 at Weiach, Zurich Canton, Switzerland, son of Hans Felix Baumgartner and Barbara Willi. He married in 1653 to Anna Meierhofer at Weiach. He died on March 1, 1677 in Weiach. Anna Meierhofer, wife of Jakob Baumgartner, was born on November 6, 1631 and died on September 17, 1697 at Weiach, Zurich Canton, Switzerland. She was the daughter of Heinrich Meierhofer and Regina Baumgartner. Hans Weidmann (Sr.), father of Hans Weidmann (1650) was born in August 1616 in Mulflen, Steinmaur, Switzerland to Michael Weidmann and Eva Meyer. Please note that Hans (Sr.) was a brother to our Balthasar Weidmann who married Elisabeth Baumgartner (different one that his nephew, Hans Weidmann Jr., married). Balthasar Weidmann has been covered previously in this paper as well as his parents. Hans (Sr.) married first to Verena Engeli Neracher around 1634 and had at least 5 children by her. He married a second time to Margareth Sigg around 1643 and had at least 4 children by Sigg. He died at Steinmaur on February 11, 1690 at age 73. Margareth Sigg, wife of Hans Weidmann (Sr.), was born at Mulflen, Steinmaur, Switzerland in 1617 and died April 7, 1681 at Steinmaur. In conclusion, we would like to again thank Mr. Harold H.
