After this acquistion, the church grounds covered nearly all of a small city block in the downtown area next to the County Courthouse. Mrs. Exnicious gave the church the last 51000 note.
It is interesting to note that the second floor of that two-story building had been the first House of Worship for the Methodists in Bay St. Louis, and had originally stood on the site of the present church building. When it was moved the frame building was raised and a cemet block first floor was built beneath it. This building has since been demolished and the land is a part of the present churchyard.
The annex building was renovated during the 1 950's, while Rev. H Bufkin Oliver was pastor.
The renovations including enlarging the structure so that it could also contain a pastor's study, a kitchen, dining room, fellowship hall and two dressing rooms.
The Centennial Anniversary was observed with an all day celebration on December 7, 1952. Rev. C. S Schultz was pastor at the time.
The Methodist parsonage was erected during' Rev. A. Lamar Martin's pastorage on the corner of Second Street and Timberlane The building was occupied in March of 1 964, and was dedicated in March of 1967 by Bishop Edward J Pendergrass.
