In 1917 she had the flu and after that grew tall. However, in those days girls could go to work at any age, especially in the factories. In 192^/(c 1^ years old) she went to work for the Bell Telephone Co. here in the ^^ bldg on the Beach. She worked for Bell for 32 years

Annie has been a faithful Catholic. As a teen ager she sold UCA 3*. salve at .25c per dox and bought her first Catholic cross. She attended
6	A.M. Mass before going to work. Inasmuch as her job with the telephone co required split-shift work she was unable to belong to groups within the church.
