WHEREAS, during the year 1925 a local club of Rotary Internationa] was founded in the City of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, and that said local club celebrates its 50th Anniversary during this year; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens, churches, clubs, civic organization, community organizations and service groups as well as the various branches of the local government of our community are aware of the outstanding performance of the local club of Rotary International in the fields of club service, vocational service, community service and international service; and,
WHEREAS, through the efforts of the membership of the local Rotary Club, many people in all walks of life have been aided physically, spiritually, morally and financially through its 50 years of service within our area; and,
WHEREAS, the undersigned governments of Hancock County, Mississippi and the citizens thereof, would like to extend commendation to the Bay St. Louis Rotary Club and join with its membership in celebration of its 50th Anniversary;
NOW THEREFORE, Hancock County, City of Bay St. Louis and the City of Waveland, do hereby proclaim the week of July 21, 1975 as Bay St.Louis Rotary Club Week and urge all citizens, both young and old, of our fine community to join in our expression of commendation to the membership of said club and to participate with the membership thereof in the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of said organization.
