CAPT. WILLIAM T. BOARDMAN owned the riverboat "DACOTAH" , which was used in the Ne'w Orleans?Red River trade. He was assisted by his brother JOHN A. BOARDMAN. She was a large river boat (2521 x 48 x 5*5) arrived in New Orleans on December 3i 1889 with a record load of 1138 bales of cotton and 12,265 sacks of coiiton seed. The DACOTAH made seven trips up the Missouri River in 18?9 to Fort Benton, Montana.
The DACOTAH was dismantled in 1893 and. part& of her cabin went into the sternwheeler Imperial.
