3.	Francois Favre, was born in "1798" as found on his baptism record at St. Louis Cathedral, N. O., LA, (Bapt. Bk. 14, page 116), and probably in southern Hancock County, MS. He was baptized on April 20,1800, as covered earlier in this paper. This record only named his mother as "Suzanne LaLancette" (her maiden name) with the child baptized as "Francisco" (Spanish for Francois), and his exact date of birth was not given, only his year of birth. Not naming the father on a baptism record usually meant the child was born of parents not married in the Catholic Church. He married Rose "Eulalie" Ladner and had 8 children to reach maturity. He died in Waveland, MS, on September 20,1873. He has been thoroughly studied and is covered in our Favre History, pages 97 thru 118.
In closing, we have much more on this family and other Favre families in our Favre History. We also have plenty more information in our research files that we will be happy to share with any Favre researcher. Our goal in this paper was to identify the parents of Francois Favre, and we feel that we have completed our task. This is a very complex family that we have researched for over 45 years.
