Stanley Ezra Weidman was the father of Stanley Edward "Sonny" Weidman and the son of Ezra A. Weidman and Eudora "Dora" Crosby. His middle name was "Ezra" after his own father, according to his wife, Margaret, and their son, was NOT a junior. Stanley "Sonny" Weidman always "thought" he was a junior, but was not positive. On August 28, 1977, Debbie's Grandmother, Margaret Woodward, came to visit us in Gulfport. She came with her daughter, Carrie Sturdevant who was down from New York. Carrie was questioned about her father's middle name and she said it was Stanley Ezra Weidman for sure, and that her brother, which is Debbie's dad, was not a junior for certain - even though the family often considered him a Junior because of the same first name. Debbie's dad got his middle name of Edward from an old family friend. Grandma Woodward confirmed this fact again. On the birth certificate of Stanley Ezra's son, Raymond Weidman, the father is listed as "Stanly E. Weidman". Most all other records, he uses no middle name. Grandma said he never used the "Ezra" because he did not like that name. Unless some other record can be found, we will have to go with "Ezra" as his middle name.
Stanley Ezra Weidman was born on April 6, 1891 according to his death certificate in Huntersland, Schoharie Co., NY. He was approximately 5'4" tall, 135 pounds, brown eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, no military service, and was a farmer by profession. According to his death certificate, he died on May 16, 1934 in Endicott, NY from cancer of the lung
