We will ask our bus driver to turn down Main Street so
that we may have a glimpse of the stately Hancock County
Courthouse which was built in 1911 at a total cost of $25>000*
Diboll and Owens, Ltft designed ttis building as well as the

We will stop briefly for a view of the Main Street Methodist church, built in the 1850's, and according to our local architect, Fred Wagner, it is the only good example in the community of "Caroebter gothic". Wagner added there is almost an exact replica of this church in Port G-ibson, Miss.,

Adjoining the Woodman of the World Building is the
old Cedar Rest Cemetery. Although ravaged by many storms
there are still remaining many interesting markers. For years
this cemetery was a free burial ground, kept up by the City
of Bay St. Louis, but now closed for further burials except,
of course, where a family designated plot already exists.
Beyond the cemetery and across the L. & N. tracks is
Bay St. Louis City Hall, aith its well-kept garden ana frequently used free tennis courts.
