Elizabeth (Slade) Ladner, wife of Rutillus Ladner. After his death at Vicksburg during the Civil War, she married Hezekiah Rouse. She is buried at the Slade Cemetery near Purvis.

Rutillous Iadner (Carlos Ladner) born Jan. 12, 1833, was the tenth child of Carlos and Annie Iadner. He married Elizabeth Slade, the dauqhter of Hezekiah Slade and Helena (Taylor) Slade. Rutillous served with Co. R. 7th Batt. Miss. Inf. civil War. He died at Vicksburg, MS., Feb. 21, 1R63.
