Mrs. J. H. Sylvester died at her home od the Blue Meadow road at 'll o'clock Sunday night, and was buried from the Main street Methodist church at o?clock Monday af- J .-lernoon, Rev. W. W. Cammack j officiating. She had been ill only a few days and death came as a ! shock to her family and friends as 1 it was not supposed that she was seriously sick. The deceased was the wife of the late Capt. J, H, Syl- ; vester, and was a lady of high i character. She was a native of j Alabama but had made her home i here for the past twenty years or. j more. She leaves two sons and two daughters, Messrs. W. O. and J, H. Sylvester and Mesdames H. L?. 1 Pledger and T. B. Turner, all of whom reside here, and were with her when she died. To them we exteod heartfelt sympathy.
