they were able to raise enough money to purchase the present site on the corner of Sycamore and Third Streets to erect a new church. Reverend ' Mosley served for a number of years before his resignation.
Reverend A. L. Washington of Picayune, Mississippi came to serve the church a short time afterwards. Reverend Washington's willingness to work hard and his energy and intelligence started him on a mission of seeking souls for the Kingdom, and then he too moved on after serving for a time.
Reverend E. L. Moore of Mobile, Alabama, Reverend T. A. Jones of Purvis, Mississippi and Dr. T. L. Jordan of Mobile, Alabama served for a short period of time, respectively.
The next pastor was Reverend H. H. Lowe of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Roverend Lowe was a man of deep convictions on Christian doctrine. He was onergetic, jolly and friendly, always willing to give a helping hnnd to someone in need. At the time of his death, his pastorage had lasted for 26 years.
Later the church was served by Reverend McWillis of Louisiana and Reverend M. J. Madison.
Following a short time later was the Reverend J. W. Lee of Pearlington, Mississippi, who was then Moderator of the Gulf Coast Missionary Baptist Association. It was during Reverend Lee's seven years as pastor that the church'was destroyed by a hurricane. After efforts to rebuild the church failed, Reverend Lee moved to Oakland, California.
Reverend S. T. Peters of Slidell, Louisiana was called as the next pastor. He was successful in holding the congregation together and plans
