ji Valena C. Jones split a dual 'V track and field meet with Locker 3 High of Wiggins here Saturday
Valena C. Jones track teams continued their ?winning ways as they rcpped Randolph High of Pass Christian Tuesday afternoon in preparation for their conference championship which starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Wiggins.
Marilyn Price with 18 points led the Jones girls to a 44 to 10 win over Randolph. Sharon Sell and Pearlie Walker tied for second with six points each.
jce Tate paced with boys* 55-46 '.Yin with eight points, Clevan Williams got six and Robert Mullins five and a half and Amade Collins, five.
VCJ girls took all four places in the 50, 60 and 75-yard dashes. In the former, Sharon 3ell was first followed by Marilyn Price, Pearlie Walker and Annie Haynes. In the 60-yard event it was Price, Ann Mitchell, Walker and Bell, and in 75 yard, Price, Mary Dejurnette, Walker and Linda Wiikersor..

The girls continued to roll toward a conference championship winning the opener 65-28 but it was a costly win when ace defensive star AnnieHaynes fractured her nose and had to be
benched.
