Session. This was approved at a congregational meeting on November 11, 1984.
On December 16th, Joe Murrow and Alice Hondzinski were elected Elders. During the year, there had been no members who had joined the church, and there had been two losses. The year, therefore, ended with there being 77 persons on the membership roll, of whom 45 were females. There were now 45 students in Sunday school, though.
Scotty Thomson was elected an Elder Emeritus or an Honorary Elder on January 6,	1985. Pastor
Ford was ill, and Pastor Emeritus Dwyn Mounger was authorized by the Presbytery to serve as Moderator during the long illness which would follow.
According to the Minutes of the Session for January 20,	1985, there were then three active
Elders:	Neil Jeffrey, Larry Roberts and Fred
Fisher. There were also two inactive ones, John Covode and Alice Hondzinski, the latter to be installed and returned to active status that day. There were also three to be ordained and installed that day:	Vonnie Bodenschatz, Mrs. John (Pamela)
Quinn and George Schroeder.
In September, it was determined that Pastor Ford would resign in November and become a disability plan annuitant. The church continued to pay his salary, moving and incidental expenses for some months, though.
The Reverend Mounger thereafter again began serving as an Interim Pastor, until a nominating committee elected on November 11,	1985 could
conduct its business. Those on this committee were Lilia Adams, Vonnie Bodenschatz, Eleanor Hill, Alice Hondzinski, Neil Jeffrey, Ray Coleman and Vivian Murrow. Alice was elected chairperson by the committee.
On December 3, 1985, John Hill was elected an Elder, and on December 15th Marjorie Leech and Eddie Englehorn became church members. The church's budget for 1985 had been $42, 000; for 1986, it would be only $37,000. Things were not looking up in these trying times. Moreover, stalwarts Mr. and Mrs. George Schroeder would be transferring to a church in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where George had been transferred.
