Orleta Beall(Marinda J. (Ladner) Beall, Alexander, Carlos Ladner) born Feb. 14, 1896. Married John Lumpkin on July 1, 1922, at Columbia, MS. John was born Mar. 13, 1892 in Hancock Co., MS. and died jan. 21, 1972. John served in the US Army 1917-1918 WWI. Orleta has a BS Dearee in Ed. Hiqh School Math. M.A. Degree in Ed. upper Flem., taught school in south MS. 44^ years. John was a very capable statesman. Was St. Rep. 4 years, St. Senator 4 years and he held various positions in schools, in south MS.. John contributed much to the education system of our state, also held numerious state and government positions and was a great humanitarian. He is buried in the Tom Beall Cemetery, Cum Pond Comm.
