1 weather to maintain his bomber in0 a state of operation efficiency. Thej plane never turned back from a mis-q sion on account of mechanical fail-s' ure.	j
He was particularly diligent on^ Historic D-Day when the “Terre^ Haute Tornado” piloted by Captain Robert E. Wilson of Terre Haute, Ind, took part in the Ninth Air Force at-1 tack which spear headed the invasion of France.

family reunion at her home at Necaise recently—to say good bye to her son Adchie and to welcome home her son Fred. It was the first time Archie and Fred had seen each other in two years.
The reunion was a real old fashioned one. The family had been preparing for it all week and dhe table was laden with food—turkey, chicken, ham, pies’and cakes of all descriptions. The kind of meal the boys dream about when they are away from home.
Among the guests were: Mrs. S. B. Howard and children Mr. and Mrs. 'Kenneth Neeley, Mrs. Estus Ladner (and daughter, Pvt. and Mrs. ArcLiie Saucier and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Luke V. Saucier and family. Guests from Picayune were: Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ladner, Mr. /D. A. Ladner, Mr. and Mrs. Purvis Polk and children and Mrs. Leola Spiers
Archie left Thursday for a, port of embarkation for overseas duty. Fred is now stationed in New Orleans after having served overseas on an LST for eighteen months. He participated in the invasions of Italy and France and saw action in Africa and Burma and India.
The only regret the family had was ;that Sunday was the birthday of 'another brother, Chief Petty Officer Ralph Saucier, U. S. C. G. R., and he was unable to be there as he has been in the South Pacific for the ;past nine months.	_

PVT. JOHN M. WESTON Pvt. John M. Weston, who recently returned from the European theatre of war, where he served with the 29th division.
Private Weston was twice wounded, in action in France, and spem several months recuperating in a hospital in England. He also spent some time in hospitals in this country, for further treatement. He received a.r honorable discharge from the Army, while a patient, at Welch Convalescent Hospital, Daytona Beach, Fla.
He holds the Purple Heart with the oak leaf cluster, and the Conduct Infantryman’s Badge, for exemplary conduct in action against the enemy.

Carl J. Banderet, S l|c, U. S. N. R., son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Banderet of this city and husband of the former Miss Clifford Kimmel.
Young Banderet is a graduate of St. Stanislaus in the class of ’35 and is on a transfer ship in the Pa-cifir War area. He has had some very interesting and some very hazardous experiences in the Pacific.
Mrs. Banderet and her three daughters are with her parents Mr, land Airs. Edward Kimmel.
