The BWYC Flag/Signal Mast 2011 This is the present BWYC Flag/Signal Mast which was extensively researched, carefully designed and constructed in 1987 by long time, loyal and dedicated BWYC Member Hank Renken. Walter Chamberlain was Commodore of Bay-Waveland Yacht Club in 1987. According to BWYC flag protocol the BWYC Burgee is flying on a pig stick above the truck (top of the mast). The American National Ensign is flying attached to a halyard on the gaff which is the superior position on the Mast. The Commodore Flag is flying on the most outward halyard on the starboard yardarm where the senior yacht club flag officer present may display his or her flag. Respectfully submitted by Edgar W. Santa Cruz, Jr. BWYC Historian
