Bourgeois, Miss Anatasie, has sent out cards announcing her marriage to Mr. Ludwig Klatte, to take place June 15th. (SCE 6/3/1893)
Bourgeois, Miss Anatasie, and Mr. Ludwig Klatte, were married in a pretty wedding in Waveland at 2 o'clock Thursday evening at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Cyrille Bourgeois. The V. Rev. Father Leduc officiated. Mr. Albert Castenade stood as groomsman with Miss Celine Bourgeios. The groom entered on the arm of Vallery Bourgeois, the bride on the arm of her father. The bride was becomingly attired in silk, and was a picture of loveliness. Mr. Klatte is highly esteemed and held in high regard by the L.& N. officials who hold him in employ. The bride is a lovable young lady of numerous good qualities both of heart and mind. Mr. and Mrs. Klate left on the west-bound train on their bridal tour. The scribe extends the newly-wedded couple abundant success in their paths of the future. Hon. D.B. Seal was present from Bay St. Louis. They have constantly on hand a fine supply of fresh and dry goods, shoes and groceries and are selling food at New Orleans prices. Note a few prices herein: Family flour per barrel $ 3.90, good rice 42 lbs $ 1.00, best coffee, 20c a pound, J. C. sugar 21 lbs. for 1.00 and corn beef 3 lbs for 25 c. spare ribs 5 c. per lb, choice sugar cane syrup 59 c per gallon. (SCE 01/14/1893)

Bourgeois, Francisco and Maximiliano - On the 28th day of May, one thousand eighteen hundred and two, I, Don Juan Vaugeois, Pastor of the Church of Our Lady of the Conception of Mobile, solemnly baptized in the house of Pedro Fayard at Bay St. Louis - twins who were born on the 8th day of April - of Valentine Bourgeois and Marie Louisa Ladner - named Francisco and Maximiliano. Paternal grandparents Francisco Bourgeois and Mariana Fayard; maternal grandparents Juan Bautista Ladner and Marie Louise Fisseau.
All these quotations are from certified photocopies of the original records. "Pedro" Fayard is the Spanish for the French Pierre Fayard, or the English Peter Fayard.
(Juan Bautista is Spanish for the French Jean Baptiste, or the English John Baptist. Note that the historic little town of Bay St. Louis was known in 1802 as Bay St. Louis. Years later the area was temporarily Shieldsboro and again Bay St. Louis. Ms. (MJS BSL #20)

Bourgeois Grocery. W. L. Bourgeois. Across from Hancock Bank on Front Street. (Eagle Cent. Edit. P. 38). Bourgeois Grocery, was located at 114 Main. (Hancock Insurance Company building location). Res. Next door. Bourgeois Grocery, W. L. will move from present location to the Taconi Building on the corner of Front and Main. (SCE 6/9/1904 #14, col 1).
Bourgeois Store, (100 N. Beach) Corner Front and Main Sts. burned completely on 12 Aug. 1907 and the cottage dwelling adjoining facing Main St (103? Main) suffered the same fate. The 2 story frame dwelling owned by L. A. DeMontluzin (108 N. Beach) and the frame cottage owned by J. A. Breath (105 Main) were saved. The store was a one story frame structure owned by the estate of Frank Taconi who also owned the adjoining dwelling that was burned. (SCE)
