Ladner, Cecil J. - June 7, 1999
Cecil J. Ladner, 78, of the Standard community, died Monday, June 7, 1999, in Gulfport.
Mr. Ladner was a native of Hancock County and was a retired maintenance worker with the Bay St. Louis City Schools and was a retired foreman with the Hancock County Board of Supervisors, Beat 3. Mr. Ladner was a Catholic and a veteran and a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by a son, Clark M. Ladner; and a brother, Casey Ladner, also his parents, Eli S. Ladner and Agnes Hansen Ladner.
Survivors include his wife, Alfretta Martin Ladner of Standard; three brothers, Odie J. Ladner of Perkinston, Ursan Ladner of the Rocky Hill community and J. T. Ladner of Standard; two sisters, Lucile McCullough of Bay St. Louis, and Gola Mae Caine of Marks, Miss; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was Wednesday evening at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux. Funeral services will be conducted today at 10:30 a.m. at the church, followed by burial in Standard Sand Hill Cemetery.
McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune is in charge of arrangements.
