Peterson, James (Pete)  -  December 4, 1958

James (Pete) Peterson, 43, died suddenly Sunday morning December 14 at Perryton, Texas, following a heart attack.

Mr. Peterson, who born and reared in Kiln, Miss., graduated from Kiln High School and Loyola University in New Orleans, where he was on the All-Star football and basketball teams.

He taught in the Kiln school for a number of years and was assistant football coach at Gulfport High School from 1945 to 1947. At the time of his death he was head coach and principal at Perryton.

Survivors include his wife Juanita and two daughters, Sandra and Pamela; two brothers, Asa Peterson, Bay St. Louis and Clayton Peterson, New Orleans and three sisters, Mrs. Sidney Gonzales, Bay St. Louis, Mrs. Frank Raymond of Amarillo and Mrs. Frank Ladner, Kiln, and Miss Ethel Peterson, Ellisville, Miss.

Funeral services and interment were in Perryton, Tuesday.
