Scovel, Mary M. Sr. - September 16, 1997
Mary Margaret Scovel, Sr., 73, of Kiln, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 1997, in Pass Christian.
Mrs. Scovel was a native of Des Moines, Iowa and a longtime resident of Kiln. She was a member of Avon Community Church in Avon, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Clarence Scovel; a brother, David McElbogue; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Jack C . S covel of Kiln; a son, Russell Roy Scovel of Washington, daughters Carol Ann Brown of Gulfport, Mona Lisa Howell and Mary Hargaret Scovel Jr., both of Kiln; a brother Dean Arthur McElbogue; and a sister, Betty Jean McElbogue, both of Iowa; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Rieman Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
