Williams, Joseph E. - September 5, 1997
Joseph Elliott Williams, 56, of Diamondhead, died Friday, Sept 5, 1997, in Biloxi.
Mr. Williams was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He was a member and served on the board of directors with the Paralyzed Veteerans of America. He wa also a member of the Mayor's Awareness Committee for Citizens with Disabilities in Biloxi. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Williams of Diamondhead; his parents, Joseph and Cammie Williams of Gulfport; a brother, Cleon L. Williams of Birmingham, Ala.; and two sisters, Judy Hampton and Joanna Mizell; both of Gulfport.
Visitation was Monday evening at Riemann Memorial Funeral Home in Gulfport. Services were conducted Tuesday in the funeral home chapelfollowed by a graveside service in Biloxi National Cemetery.
