Smelker, Henry - January 5, 1895
--"Henry Smelker, West Main street died this morning at 12:40 o'clock after an illness of over nine months. He was 62 years, 10 months and 24 days old. Funeral services at his latel residence Monday afternoon at 2:30, by Rev. Ludwick; interment Greenville cemetery. The remains can be viewed by his friends Monday between the hours of 9 a. m. and 1.
Mr. Smelker was born in Preble county, January 11,1832, and removed to this county several years ago. He has been a resident of Greenville about ten years."-- Daily Tribune, Greenville, Ohio, Dec. 15th 1894.
Mr. Smelker was the father in law of Mrs. Florence Gardebled Smelker of this city.
