Dunn, Mrs. James H. - November 12, 1901
While shopping in New Orleans Tuesday evening, Mrs. James H. Dunn of Nicholson avenue, died suddenly. She was with Mrs. Wm. Ruhr and her daughter Miss Mary Dunn, whose wedding was to have taken place next Tuesday evening, making purchases for the forthcoming happy occasion when death came almost suddenly. Complaining that her head pained, Mrs. Dunn was placed on a chair, and without saying another word expired.
The deceased was a native of Alabama and on the 17th of next May would have been fifty years of age. She was the wife of James Henry Dunn, town treasurer of Waveland, who was at work in the Louisiana interior at the time of the sad occurrence. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon. Miss Dunn has indefinitely postponed her wedding.
