Sylvester, Lorna Speer - February 28, 1903
Ms. Wm. O. Sylvester died this morning shortly after midnight from an illness of long duration, during which time little or no hope was entertained toward her recovery. The funeral took place this afternoon from her late residence in the suburbs of Blue Meadow road.
Mrs. Sylvester before her marriage was Miss Lorna Speer, and came to this city about 15 years ago with her mother from Brandon, Miss., where she was born. Shortly after arriving here she met and married Mr. Sylvester, who with six children survives her.

Mrs. William O. Sylvester died this morning at 1 o'clock at her home on the Blue Meadow Road, after a painful illness of one month. She was a native of Brandon, Miss. She leaves a husband and six small children. Her funeral took place this evening from the Methodist Church, Rev. Mr. Cammack officiating.
