Strong, Ernest John - March 7, 1999
Ernest John Strong, 80, of Bay St. Louis, died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in Chalmette.
Mr. Strong was a native of Bay St. Louis and a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Holden Strong; his parents, Willie and Cora Luc Strong; brothers Harold Strong and Albert Strong; and a sister, Veronica Henson.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Strong Necaise of Luling, La.; brothers Marshall Strong, Charlie Strong, Willie "Buck" Strong and T.J. Strong, all of Bay St. Louis; sisters, Eloise Williams, Genevieve Strong, Elsie Klein and Nina Necaise, all of Bay St. Louis, Pearl Teabout and Dorothy Bounds, both of Waveland, and Evelyn Chadwick of Marshallburg, N.C.; four granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 12, 7-10 p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, followed by burial in Bayou Coco Cemetery.
