Harvill, Patricia Mauffray  -  June 11, 2000

Patricia Mauffray Harvill, 59, of Waveland, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, in Bay St. Louis.

Ms. Harvill was a native of Picayune and a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland. She was assistant manager and funeral director with Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. She was a 1962 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She was a typing and bookkeeping teacher at USM, Pearl River Community College, and Hancock High School. She was employed with Coast Electric from 1976 until 1978 as administrative assistant. Ms. Harvill was a former member of the Krewe of Nereids where she was a maid in 1984. She was a member of the Hancock Chamber of Commerce, Diamondhead Business and Professionals, Bay St. Louis Rotary Club, and Mississippi Funeral Directors Association where she served as a member on the advisory board for funeral service technology at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She was the second female employed at Stennis Space Center. Ms. Harvill has been serving families as a funeral director for over 16 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Anthanase Mauffray.

Survivors include her mother, Rhoby Balaski Mauffray of Waveland. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and loving friends and relatives.

A 2 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland where friends may call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery in Picayune. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
