Hutchinson, Lillian K. - September 7, 2000
Lillian K. Hutchinson, 102, widow of Harold L. Hutchinson, died of heart failure at Dunbar Village in Bay St. Louis, MS on September 7, 2000.
Born near Madison, South Dakota, educated at Valley City State University, in North Dakota, she taught in a one-room schoolhouse at Goodrich and La Moure, ND.
Mrs. Hutchinson married and later moved to Ocean Springs, MS, in the 1930's, served as House Mother at Perkinston Jr. College from 1957- 1965. She retired and moved to Jackson, MS until 1991. She then moved to San Francisco to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by sisters, Lydia Antoine and Helen Brown of Texas and children, Harold L. Hutchinson, Jr. and wife Ann Lewis Hutchinson of Jackson, Helen Ray Hutchinson of Bay St. Louis, and daughter-in-law Janice Tant Hutchinson of Laurel. Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by a daughter, Phyllis H. Irvine of Huntsville, TX, and a son, Charles I. Hutchinson of Laurel, MS.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of arrangements.
