Memorial service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Diamondhead Community Church.
Walter L. Stone Jr., 79, died Friday, Oct 6, 2000, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Stone was a native of Akron, Ohio, and was a member of Diamondhead Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Louise Thompkins Stone; his father, Walter L. Stone Sr.; his mother Gladys Wanamaker Stone; and a sister, Mary L. Downs.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Coffman Stone of Diamondhead; a son, Walter L. Stone III; a daughter, Barbra Schindler, both of Spokane, Wash; three stepsons, Aaron E. Burrus of New Orleans, James K. Burrus of Huntsville, TX, and Ronald A. Burrus of Long Beach; a stepdaughter, Janice L. Burrus Caudill of Long Beach; a brother, Charles Stone of Frankfort, MI; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Diamondhead Community Church where friends may call after the service. Burial will be private. Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
