Breland, William  -  February 27, 2001

William E. "Bill" Breland, 64, of Bay St. Louis, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, in Bay St. Louis.

Mr. Breland was a native of Camp Rolands, Miss. and a longtime resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of past deacon of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis. He was retired as vice president after 42 years of service with Merchants and Whitney banks. He was a member of the Jaycees of Bay St. Louis, Bay-Waveland Little League & Babe Ruth League Board and the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. He received the award for the Outstanding Young Man of Mississippi and the Hancock County Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edrin E. and Beatrice D. Breland; and two sisters, Marilyn Macuick and Marion Nell Koenenn.

Survivors include his wife, Noleen L. Breland of Bay St. Louis; four sons and wives, William Clark and Georgia K. Breland, Mark E. and Kelyn Kidd Breland, Keith N. and Jennifer S. Breland, and Craig M. and Tera L. Breland, all of Bay St. Louis; a daughter and husband, Kerri Breland and Chris Frigo of Bay St. Louis; brother and sister-in-law, Larry E. and Sherlyn Breland of Bay St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be today, March 1, 7-10 p.m. at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A prayer service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis followed by interment in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
