Necaise, Michel "Mike" Joseph Jr.  -  February 10, 2005

Michel "Mike" Joseph Necaise, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2005 in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Necaise was born March 23, 1922 in Kiln, but resided in Bay St. Louis, MS most of his life. He retired from MS Power Company after 42 years of service. After retirement, he spent most of his time doing what he loved best!! Fishing!! Mike was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis where he served as a Deacon. He was secretary of Bay St. Louis Masonic Lodge #429 for 34 years and a lifetime member of American Legion Post #139 in Bay St. Louis. Mr. Necaise is preceded in death by his parents, Michel Joseph, Sr., and Edwina Ladner Necaise and his brother, Russell Woods Necaise.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bertha Lee Necaise, three sons, Gregory, Keith and Woody Necaise, four daughters, Connie Starita & husband Skip, Georgie Morton & husband Gayle, Ginger Dastugue & husband Noel and Jane Necaise, three sisters, Wilma Necaise, Peggy Cooley, & Shirley Morel. Also 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2005 from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church in Bay St. Louis. Services will follow at Noon with Pastor Al Green officiating. Interment to follow in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of South MS Kidney Center of Bay St. Louis, and the doctors & staff of Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. They would also like to express an enormous heartfelt gratitude to Troy Rutledge, Hayden "Red" Vine & Bonnell Ladner for their constant care and devotion.

The family prefers donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 131 Main Street, Bay St. Louis, MS 39520.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
