Fernandez, Edward Louis Sr. - February 10, 2006
Edward Louis Fernandez, Sr., of Diamondhead, MS died on Friday, February 10, 2006 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Diamondhead, MS for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of Loyola University and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln, MS. He served on the Board of Diamondhead Property Owners Association. He was also a member of Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus, and the Rotary International. He was a beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen K. Fernandez of Diamondhead, MS; and his children, Ed Fernandez, Jr. and wife Carin of Destrehan, LA, Deborah Pope of New Orleans, LA, and Rebecca Blum and husband Dave of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Nicole, Jordan, Jeremy, Laura, and Philip.
Visitation is Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Annunciation Catholic Church in Kiln, MS. A Mass will follow at 11:00 am.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
