Compretta, Frances Chiniche  -  August 2, 1999

Frances Chiniche Compretta, 81, of Bay St. Louis, died Monday, Aug 2, 1999, in Bay St. Louis.

Mrs. Compretta was a native and longtime resident of Bay St. Louis. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis and of the Knights of Columbus Auxilliary, American Legion Post 139 Auxiliary and the Italian Society of the Immaculate Conception, all in Bay St. Louis. She retired after 21 years of service with Goodwill Industries in Bay St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Paul Compretta Sr.; her parents, Marshall and Beatrice Guagliardo Chiniche; six brothers, Sylvest Guagliardo, Sylvest Guagliardo, Sylvester Chiniche, Joseph Chiniche, Peter Chiniche, Frank Chiniche and Lukey Chiniche; and seven sisters, Josephine Giametta, Mary Ruspoli, Beatrice Austin, Lucy Guagliardo, Mary Guagliardo, Josie Michel and Jennie Koberger.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Compretta and Bobby Compretta, both of Bay St. Louis and Tony Compretta Jr. Of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Marsha Garziano of Pass Christian; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday evening with an American Legion Auxiliary service and recitation o the rosaary at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A procession will leave the funeral home today at 9:40 a.m. for a 10 a.m. celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
