Farve, Peter F.  -  February 18, 1999

Peter F. Farve, 85, died Thursday, Feb 18, 1999.

Mr. Farve was a native and a resident of Bay St. Louis. He was a member of St. Rose De Lima Catholic Church since its inception in 1925. He was a member of the Knights of Peter Calver for over 50 years and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He served as a cook for St. Augustine Seminary in Bay St. Louis and for the Veteran Hospital in Gulfport where he retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alcide and Dora Maurice Farve; one daughter, Vanette Acker; one brother, Dennis Farve, four sisters, Edna Farve, Mae Farve, Dorothy Simms and Clara Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Elvira Fairconnetue Farve of Bay St. Louis; five sons, Joseph, Thomas, and Harry Farve all of Bay St. Louis, Dwight Farve of Columbus, Ohio and Ronald Farve of New Orleans, La; two daughters, Cleo Silas of New Orleans and Elvira Robinson of Bartlett, Ill; one brother, John Farve of Bay St. Louis; 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., Monday Feb 22, 1999, at St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Bay St. Louis. J. T. Hall Funeral Home in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
