Favre, Walter Fabian  -  October 13, 1957

Funeral services were held at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday for Walter Fabian Favre, who died Sunday, Oct. 13, at 11:50 p. m. in Hotel Dieu Hospital, New Orleans, following a lengthy illness.

Bom in Bay St. Louis, March 10, 1894, he was a life resident of the community, and until rehired due to ill health two years ago served as custodian of the Post Office Building here.

He is survived by his widow Mrs. Sarah Favre, three brothers, Leon, Forest and Harold Favre of this city aud one sister Mrs. Azalie Hale of Pascagoula. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Favre.

Services took place from Fahey Funeral Home, followed by religious services at Our Lady of the Gulf Church with Reverend John Robinson officiating.

Interment was in the family plot in St. Mary's cemetery.

The deceased was a member of Pere Le Duc Council No. 1522 of the Knights of Columbus. Woodmen of the World and of the Holy Name of Jesus Society of Our Lady of the Gulf Church.

Pall bearers were Mayor John Scafide, Andy Becker, Fred Herlihy, Leo Ford, John Rutherford, Osmond Blaize, Louis Banderet and Joseph Zingarling.
