Giveans, Isadore J. - November 8, 1958
Isadore J. Giveans, Sr., 69, died in New Orleans, Saturday, November 8.
Mr. Giveans a native of Bay St. Louis, was the son of the late Samuel and Emmaline Necaise Giveans.
He was the husband by first marriage of the late Hilda Wolcott and by second marriage of Adline Thomas Giveans; father of Mrs. Lucille Frances and Mrs. Althea Heaphy of Arabi, La.; Samuel Giveans of Los Angeles, Calif.; Isadore, Jr., Pearlington, Miss., Alcee and Andrew Giveans of New Orleans. He is also survived by three brothers Chris Giveans of New Orlean and Elliott and John Giveans of Pearlington; two sisters, Mrs. W. W. McArthur, of Logtown and Mrs. Adele Maffee, New Orleans; 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday at 3 P. M. from the Fahey Funeral Home followed by religious services at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Giveans, Alfred Cospelich, James Travirca, Harold Saucier, Manny Wilkerson and Joseph Bennett.
